These are songs most people know.
At one time, pretty much all of them were hits at some level and they've been kept alive through radio airplay, journalists talking and writing about them, and bands playing them over and over again.

Their success has proven they are certainly commercially accessible.
But how many of them are actually any good?
This game is about answering that question.

It will happen in two parts. Part One is the qualifier.
Over the next 10 days, I will post a daily list of 20 songs.
I want you to pick 10 that you want included in the Survivor.

The nominees are mostly rock and metal "hits" of the '70s, '80s and '90s.
The songs that get the most votes will face off in Part Two, a Survivor to be launched at the end of the last qualifying round.

Hendrix and Motorhead are doing best at this moment of posting.

I hope Beat It will make it as well. Fantastic track. Others that I'd really would like to go through:
Back in Black, Another Brick, Angel of Death

Yep, I'd like to see Beat It progress. Classic Michael Jackson era, iconic bass, Eddie Van Halen solo....it's really something special.

Ace of Spades
All Along the Watchtower
Angel of Death
Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2
Another One Bites the Dust
Baba O'Riley
Back in Black
Beat It
Black Dog
Black Hole Sun

All Along the Watchtower is the best song of this group.

A bit of a cheat, but I'll be concentrating most of my votes on songs that aren't in my Classic Rock game that will follow yours in a few months. Since my list is very light on metal or anything past 1990, that's where most of my votes will go here.

I somehow didn't read the "Best" in the thread title....Please ignore my votes for Green Day and RHCP (the songs I found the worst :D:D)

A lot of songs I like in this one, including a number I didn't/couldn't vote for.
In fact, I don't think there's one I dislike, and I may own all of them.
