Definitely Gilmour. I'm not a Floyd fan at all, but I must give the man credit for his emotive playing and creativity in songwriting. I know Tremonti is a great player, but his songs never rise above "stock" for me.

I'm tempted to vote Dimebag here only because he didn't waste 40 minutes of gig time on ego-stroking solo sections...but Blackmore still wins.

Joe Walsh is great, Tony Iommi is the god of the riff. Voting for him for the same reasons I would vote for Hetfield every time.

Despite his Tears of the Dragon solo, Roy Z does not hold a candle to Alex Lifeson.

Nope, I actually love when Petrucci gets into those more emotive, less-wanky sections and sweet, reverb-drenched chords. It's just that I like the rest of the music surrounding those elements more than I do with Floyd. Also, in contrast, whenever Ruddess has a 5-minute Floydian ambient sound section - I truly hate it.
