(Press Release) SAO PAULO, Brazil – Following a performance at the sold out ProgPower festival in Atlanta, Brazilian progressive metal/rock band ANGRA will embark on its first U.S. tour.

“We were very excited when we were invited to play ProgPower and we’re even more excited now that we finally have an opportunity to play in other cities,” said Rafael Bittencourt.

One of the most respected names in its genre, Angra has tirelessly toured internationally and has played in front of crowds as large as 12,000 in their home country. The band has earned gold records for their well-received albums “Angels Cry,” “Holy Land,” and “Rebirth.”

Formed in the early ‘90s, Angra released “Angels Cry” in 1993. Three EPs and two full-lengths followed before a major change in the band’s lineup brought in a new singer, drummer, and bassist. The rejuvenated quintet then released last year’s “Rebirth” album and the “Hunters and Prey” mini album this year.
