Hi folks,

don't think this is a spolier, but I will keep it hidden anyway

Yesterday Maiden played at Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and something curious happened after a banner was thrown on stage asking the band to play
Alexander the Great
. Bruce's found a very interesting way to almost grant the wish ! Check it out below...quite a highlight of both legs of this tour !

Well, you can't expect them to know how to play a song they recorded a quarter of a century ago and never performed live. Even Bruce wasn't completely safe with the melody.
 
And there it is, friends - the closest we'll ever come to hearing it live.

And I'm actually impressed with how much Bruce did remember ... when's the last time you think he even heard the song?

I'd imagine they listened through the Powerslave, Somewhere in Time and Seveth Son albums before they made the setlist for the tour.  :smartarse:
Or perhaps they didn't, but it's certainly quite likely.
 
Yax, you could be right (and it would make sense) but I'm sure I read somewhere that Bruce and 'Arry knocked out the setlist in a matter of minutes.

But I could be wrong!
 
I don't get the obsession with wanting the band to play this song... I guess it's a matter of taste, but to me the song is nothing special.

And in my opinion, it's almost a fad, everyone keeps talking about how they want the band to finally play it live, just because they heard someone else saying that...
 
That was great, though of course it would be great to hear it live properly. I can imagine how much the audience cracked up at that, they crack up at all Bruce's jokes, and that was beyond funny.

Look, if this indeed is not a mod prank you will not last long on this forum Aeolis (or thousand_suns) if you keep this up. If you are thousand_suns then you know this. Stop acting like an arse, regardless if you are him or not.

I see you edited your post while I posted (the post in the quote box isn't the same as when I first read the post).

Please leave moderator actions to the mods. There's a topic about Aeolis, if you wish to post your opinion there.

Though it doesn't matter now - Aeolis did get banned over this.
