Indeed, and those sessions started in early March unless my memory fails me completely.
 
So, a new Bruce interview was posted on Blabber. He says a new solo single will be dropping soon. Yay! He also says the new album is way above The Mandrake Project in terms of quality. Steve loves the album, too.

The last time Steve was influenced by one of Bruce's solo albums (Tattooed Millionaire), we got No Prayer for the Dying... And now Steve is impressed again. Maybe that could push him to make something much more daring with the next possible Maiden album? Oh, how I wish that were true...

Also, Bruce said they have a few surprises up their sleeve with Iron Maiden. I hope the new album is one of them.

well, I have all the albums except The Mandrake Project. I won't buy his remixed or imaginative versions of these albums. I'm f***in' tired of this kind of sh*t. Imaginative versions? In case of Maiden the re-releases of the same albums again and again. It's ridiculous. I think I stopped to be a collector at the right time. I read the other day they are planning to release whatever related with Eddie image. They won't have my money on it anymore.

If its their usual go into the studio next year with a collection of half baked ideas, forcing themselves to finish something in 2-3 months then it can be done easily, especially if they are starting that process now.
But this is also the concern, it will be another rushed effort full of bloat and ideas that could be refined better on the final product.
 
New album isn't really a surprise, so I guess selected individual Maiden gigs next year, like 3-5.

And thank heavens we got it, listened NPFTD no less than three times yesterday. Oh yeah, guess who wrote the worst track on the album...! (Still, not a terrible).
