Judas Priest - Firepower and Myles Kennedy - Year Of The Tiger are my favorites so far this year.
I thought Saxon's latest, Thunderbolt, was pretty good too.
I wouldn't mind seeing a set focusing on the bands more recent albums.
Something like this...
* Speed Of Light
* Brave New World
* The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
* Sign Of The Cross
* The Red And The Black
* Coming Home
* Paschendale
* The Clansman
* The Wicker Man
* Fear Of The Dark
*...
I love it all, but "The Number Of The Beast", "Piece Of Mind", Powerslave", "Live After Death" and "Somewhere I Time" are probably the albums I listen to the most.
It's a shame that site has been left stagnant as it's full of great info. Perhaps Maverick should hand the site over to someone else to update. Didn't he take it over from someone previously?
... and that's precisely why I like the idea of a cover album, along with the possibility of some new or unreleased cover tunes.
It's not meant to replace a new album, just a nice volume to collect ALL the cover tunes in the one place.
I have "Best of the B'Sides", it's not quite the same thing.
I was thinking the other day about a bunch of cool covers the band has recorded over the years.
Would you buy a compilation album of covers? I think it would be a cool set.
Women In Uniform
I've Got The Fire - Live
Cross-Eyed Mary
I've Got The Fire
King Of Twilight
Rainbow's Gold
Massacre

I'd hate to lose any of the current members, but if I had to rank them in order of importance...
1/ Steve
2/ Dave
3/ Bruce
4/ Adrian
5/ Nicko
6/ Janick.
Totally with you here.
That's cool, the weakest album for one fan may be the strongest for another. That's the great thing about a group like Iron Maiden. :)
For me the weakest albums are the 90's releases, the period H was absent from the band. By no means are they BAD albums, all four have...
This is hard, so many great songs to choose from. But I had a go...
01) The Wicker Man
02) Prowler
03) Revelations
04) Coming Home
05) Aces High
06) Brave New World
07) Dance Of Death
08) When The Wild Wind Blows
09) Afraid To Shoot Strangers
10) The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
11) Rime...
I just thought Steve wanted to revisit the earlier raw sound of the first few albums with No Prayer For The Dying and that Adrian was more interested in the more progressive, melodic sounds and therefore decided to split after the ASAP project.
I like NPFTD, but it's certainly one of the...
I'm happy with Bruce, Paul & Blaze are part of Maiden's history, but let's leave it at that. Bruce can sing anything the other two originally performed on well enough.
The DVD is fantastic, the split screen shots didn't annoy me at all. I thought they might. Great gig by the band, The Final Frontier stuff is awesome live.
