I am not doubting his (Gers) ability as a guitar player or a songwriter, and from what Dave says he seems like a good guy and that's great and all. But Maiden has mainly been a two guitar band best with Smith and Murray. And having two guys play the same rhythm part together while another solos...
I don't know how to explain it really, maybe it was when I just saw them on this tour that I noticed it just not right with 3 guitarists. And From the songs I heard it sounds fine but Murray/Smith are so good together Gers just seems out of place and I think doesn't really add anything...
Yes I did own the Gers albums as well, and I accepted him like everyone else when Smith left. Personally I think when Adrian came back they just didn't want to ask him to leave because they are all close. I just don't see why they need him anymore is all when the have Smith back. And Hallowed is...
Gers was a good replacement for Smith when he left. But 3 guitarists seem a bit much. And when I saw maiden a couple month's ago Gers played Smith's solo part in Hallowed Be Thy Name and botched it all up. I hate Gers being in Maiden and his songwriting doesn't impress me at all, and I owned all...
I missed it then. Ok. Aside from this tour and spoilers, Maiden seem to not really give many props to Killers or Iron Maiden on compilations either. I am not sure if it is because Paul sang on them or not but it seems like they never give any credit to killers. Which is my most fav metal album...
I am sorry but I don't see a spoiler icon anyhwhere so for now I won't post anymore songs. I guess you are right but in my opinion I feel they played too much from 7th son. And for some reason they always disregard Killers. Like they want to forget about it or something. I think it's one of...
Sorry about the spoiler thing, well the early days tour didn't go through the States then. And if it is focusing on 84 to 88 then why are they playing They may just want to re adjust the way they are advertising this.

Re: 'innocent Exile'
Probably my favorite tune on the album. My favorite part is the solos before the ending. I have listened to this tune a million times and I still love it.
Yes Bruce is a great singer and did well with maiden, but without Paul on the first two albums, there wouldn't have been a maiden to go to. My vote is for Paul because the first two maiden albums are the best.
The best album cover is Killers. I used to have the blacklight poster of it and I loved it. Wish I had it back. For the singles I would pick wrathchild.
