I do think it was because he had already bitten players twice before, that he deserved a harsh, and above average punishment this time around. Also, I'd imagine it would be quite difficult to prove that someone had intentionally broken an opponent's leg, as opposed to breaking it by accident...

Yeah, I think him throwing his elbow out was just a natural and instinctive reaction from being bitten. I don't think he was intentionally trying to elbow Suarez in the face.
