Wasn't there a lot of talk about it possibly making the Legacy set? Not sure where it came from but I did hear that floating around back then as a possible 1st encore track .
I think there is a reason BQOBD hasn't been played since 93, they don't seem that fond of it, there isn't real justification to randomly pull it out again on a 50th anniversary tour when many other songs could fill it's place.
I think the only reason it's advertised as from Iron IM to FOTD is...
There is no doubt Maiden are much bigger now than they were in 2005, no way they are selling 60,000 in London back then with any set they played.
I think if they rolled out the exact early days set in 2025 they would still be playing the same stadiums as they are this run easily.
Exactly this, stacking the set with the songs we all expected that have been played to death does not class as wow factor to anyone lol. Priest did it perfectly btw.
At the end of the day a band like Maiden don't really attract the casuals like most legacy band with a stack of radio hits do. They have a massive hardcore audience which has always given them a little more freedom with the sets they chose.
Across Europe they can pretty much sell all these...
Bruce did joke that most of the shows are completely sold out which gives them more freedom for the set lol. hinting it will go beyond the safe hits, but as I've always said what Bruce says should be taken with a grain of salt, adding a stack of songs for the casuals + SSOASS, Killers etc...
I think a lot of people were expecting more because Bruce keeps saying it will be "a set for the ages" which goes well beyond the hits or predictable songs, so if this does end up being the set, while a solid one, Bruce 100% overhyped it aha
I think Infinite, Killers and Phantom will 100% be there.
Acacia and DWYBO certainly are not beyond the realms of possibility especially if they want to reach deeper into TNOTB and not play all of the typical 3 big songs.
Aces can never be ruled out, Judas would be a real curveball tho.
All...
If any tour is going to be 3 legs it will be this one, I can see them doing a final run across Europe 2027 very easily.
Especially if they are planning a new album, they could record it early 2027, for a Sept / Oct release so it would make sense to fill the year with RFYL Leg 3 in between.
I honestly think the tour will be a complete carbon copy of FP, Bruce has said recently this show has to be taken to the rest of the world.
2026 will be Australia / NZ / Some stops in Asia, then you will get your typical extensive NA tour of Mexico / Canada and the US ending in South...
Really depends when they tour, if it's going to be summer it will be amphitheater / arenas for sure.
I really don't think they will be ambitious to take on a stadium run in the US tho, it won't go that big and be more your typical Maiden summer tour.
That might be true, but reality is there set up is very underwhelming for the large stadium shows they are playing. To the point where I actually avoid seeing them in such set ups and will head wherever the closest arena show is.
I actually hate the in the round set up for stadiums, went last year and it was very underwhelming most of the time you can see none of the band because they are way on the other side, just horrible for a fan viewing experience and I would never want to see Maiden attempt that
