I think it sounds good. Of course Bruce doesn't hit the high notes on the chorus, but at least he is professional and smart enough musically to know it's not going to happen so he sings the harmony a third lower. So it didn't clash and didn't sound strained or flat.
He did say on his book tour that speaking and singing use different vocal muscles and one is bad for the other. So maybe at this point in his career, he is saving the voice for hitting the notes?
Plus, he's had COVID since the last tour. Anyone who's had that can tell you the fatigue is real and enormous. Takes a while to get over and feel "normal" again. (Though Bruce is hardly normal to begin with; superhuman endurance for a 64 year old doing what he does)
