It has to be Aces High in the number 1 spot for me. There’s nothing like the roar of 20,000 singing along with ‘Run, live to fly!’
I don’t think I could rank the rest. They have all worked well for their respective tours. Even Satellite 15… The Final Frontier was a cool live song. It felt like...
I’ve been watching the videos of Hell on Earth live. Stunning. I’m not sure how I’ll be able to remain dry-eyed during this one. Whenever I play it at home, my daughter sits on my lap and listens to it. She occasionally does a little dance as well! It’s such an emotional song, and it stirs so...
I was one of those saying this, and I’ve eaten my hat after seeing the live videos. The man is a freak of nature. His singing so far on CSIT has been better than 86-87 by some margin.
Rainmaker is one of my favourite Maiden songs, and I agree it is not that great live. Bruce just struggled to sing it.
Controversially, I always thought Moonchild was not as good live as in the studio. I loved seeing it live in 2008 and 2013, but the studio version is so good.
I wouldn’t class myself as over sensitive. I get that we are allowed to criticise the band. Hell, I am always criticising Bruce on this forum for his stubbornness and ego.
I am happy with the band replacing Nicko if they need to. If he is struggling or his health is stopping him from...
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Personally I find it more obnoxious to whinge about a 71 year old drummer who is simplifying things to make his life a little bit easier. I think he has earned it. A couple of mistakes, missing drum fills and snare rolls is not enough to get my pants in a bunch.
I know I often rip on Bruce for being stubborn and sometimes straining, but fucking hell is he nailing this song. We are so lucky to be fans of a band that sound this good in their late 60’s.
I see he is not moving as much and has extra monitors. Good choice, Mr Dickinson.
I am not disappointed with the set list at all. I thought HBTN was a bit rough last year. If Bruce is going to strain, at least do it on songs we have never heard live or haven’t heard in a long time.
