Bruce is obviously wrong and is an out of touch grandpa but does it really matter? He's also made statements in the past that contradict what he's said recently. He clearly isn't an anti-vaxxer. These are some fairly off-hand comments and we're probably giving them too much thought.
95% of the audience wouldn't notice if the songs were a half a step or even a full step lower than the original key. It really wouldn't sound that different.
Changing they key of a song to accommodate a singer's voice is very common. It has nothing to do with making it "heavier". If Bruce sang in a more natural register it would really help to preserve his voice and he wouldn't sound strained.
The studio version of Revelations is heavier because of the slower tempo. The vocal lines work better as well. Recent live versions are closer to album tempo though.

I'd say it's my second favorite "reunion era" album. The song arrangements and lyrics are on different level than TBOS with maybe one or two exceptions. I think it's Maiden's most mature album and I'm excited to see what else they can do on the next one.
