Which Senjutsu songs do you predict will be played live?

It's also pretty fascinating to me that OOTSP was released as a single, but hardly played live.

Which Senjutsu songs do you predict will be played live?

I think figuring out how to play it for the first time was the problem. Where Eagles Dare was incredibly difficult for him in the beginning, they still played it on multiple tours though.

Which Senjutsu songs do you predict will be played live?

I'll repost a comment I had made the other day: I'd be very happy if they played the whole album, it's always a shame when a song isn't played at all and is forgotten. Makes you wonder how those songs would respond to a live setting. Having said that, I kinda doubt that the whole album will...

Please post reviews and thoughts on Senjutsu here

I gotta admit, my very first reaction to the first couple of seconds of The Parchment was "Manowar!" because of the slow gallop on a bass :ninja:

It was probably an interview with Bruce, but he has a habit of contradicting himself sometimes, so there's that.

That's what I'm trying to argue on Reddit :D Was talking with someone about the lyrics, who thinks that the song is about "Age Of Innocence"-esquq ramblings, "old man yelling at cloud" style. They think Steve is complaining about modern day Britain and that the child soldiers could just be a...

Can anyone remember in which interview it was stated that Hell On Earth was inspired by child soldiers and the Middle East conflicts?

    I wasn't born, I was cut out like a tumor. :D

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Nah, the fighting is great. It's silly fun! Just don't give Eddie a guitar again like on TFF tour, even for my tastes that looked too goofy.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

No worries, I was just joking :D If Eternity Should Fail is a great example where the live version is much faster and more energetic compared to the studio version.

But I thought the "live in studio" approach of recording already delivered live versions :dancinggeek::ninja:

If I had to guess I'd say 2023 at the earliest, if it's new material and not from the LOTB tour again.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Which is very interesting. If I'm not mistaken it's also the first time that an acoustic bass is used while the guitars switch to distortion. In BOTWH and TRATB the bass is used for the intro (and outro of the latter), in The Clansman it's used while clean guitars are playing. DOTC uses it...

Bruce Dickinson a better singer in 1986 or 2016?

I'm a musician myself and have used tons of different tunings, so I am quite aware. At this point it's a compromise between a slightly different guitar sound but more relaxed vocals, or the traditional sound we are used to but more straining from Bruce. Personally, I'd prefer the former...

Bruce Dickinson a better singer in 1986 or 2016?

You're probably right. I kinda get the pride reasoning and the man can still reach insane pitches, but singing that high all the time does no one a favour. I've been wanting more Maiden songs where Bruce can use his mid range. TFF had a bunch, TBOS not so much, but Senjutsu thankfully has a ton...

Bruce Dickinson a better singer in 1986 or 2016?

It's a shame that the question is "1986 vs 2016", when 1996 - 2006, give or take a few, is arguably Bruce's best era. I'm in general not the biggest fan of Bruce's 80's performances. In the studio he was amazing, POM era Bruce is magical, but live he had a lot of issues. Pre-World Slavery Tour...

Seems I need to pay better attention, I only listened to the albums so I hadn't heard anything about his reputation. Looking a bit into it now and it makes sense, unfortunately. About Steve: I've heard a bunch of times now that he said some problematic things in the 80's but couldn't find...

Man, what the hell is going on with some of these artists. Iced Earth was an enormous influence for me and very important to me. Then Jon goes and becomes a freaking domestic terrorist (which also made me aware of some of his idiotic views of the past, never read any interviews). Haven't...

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Slightly off-topic, but is there a list of Maiden songs he's covered on official live albums (not counting the acoustic covers here)? I'm catching up on his solo career but haven't gotten all albums yet. From what I've seen: Sign Of The Cross, Lord Of The Flies, Man On The Edge, Look For The...
