    Queensryche & Geoff Tate

https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/watch-geoff-tate-perform-queensryches-entire-empire-and-rage-for-order-albums-in-des-plaines-illinois/ This is the best I've heard Tate sound like since 2007. Check out Best I Can, London, Hand on Heart, Anybody listening and Screaming in Digital. Montclair was...

    Judas Priest

The 1988 show is one of my fav boots. Halford's high notes are more ferocious than he has ever achieved before or since. It's a quissential Halford performance.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Beats me, it is one of my favorites.

    Coronavirus

I remember how my former employer thought the furloughs were going to last a few weeks (I think they lasted just over a year). My cousin also thought the whole thing would be over within two weeks, way back then, excitedly posted on FB how she wasn't going to leave her house until it was over...

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

I'd rank Senjutsu around the middle. I like BNW and AMOLAD more, but Senjutsu is ahead of both DoD and TBOS. TFF and Senjutsu are right in the middle. I can't quite make out which out of those two I prefer. I've developed a new appreciation for TFF, as recently as the last month or so.

    Complaints about Maiden

Well, for one, Bruce isn't on stage in a bath robe and briefs. But other than that, I see your point. :p

    The Writing On The Wall

Yeah, this has turned into a top 30 song for me. It's a beast.

In so many ways. I got a drumstick from him at Sweden Rock Festival 2008. Man, he hits hard. That stick was in for a rough treatment.

    Bruce Dickinson

Bruce is so damn good with Purple songs.

    The Angel and the Gambler

There is a good song hidden behind a 1000x chorus repetitions, and Dave's solo is really, really, really good. I'll award the single version a score of 5 and the album version a score of 2. It's rather bad, but Maiden have done worse.

Every damn time they try to redo the start menu, people lose their shit (myself included). Why they keep trying is beyond me.

So, what's your take on the new live material?

    Senjutsu charts position

I think all the fans who purchased it should do a joint "thank you, Maiden" press release. Would be nice too. :p

    Dream Theater

I have to revisit the album once more, but my initial impression is that it lacks memorable choruses and this severely impacts my enjoyment of it. r. There are always two or three memorable ones, but not really this time around. There's no Paralyzed here (best single for at least a decade), but...

    The headphones and speakers thread

Do you find the 7-8 kHz peak disturbing? I've got the 880 which was my primary set for years, and use a system eq freeware to even that 8khz peak out. Smooth as butter afterwards.

    The headphones and speakers thread

Thomann's own stuff is usually really, really good for a very modest sum. You've probably made a good purchase. I recently bought guitar strings and a couple of 6.3 TS cables, Thomann branded. No complaints.
