Every tour, so the ones that played in Ireland and if they didn't play then I travelled or sometimes I did both on the same tour. I'm not counting specific legs of the tour, i.e. I didn't see the US leg of Maiden England but did see the two European legs, so I count that as 1 tour rather than 3...
Especially a band who have done nothing in metal and have such a cliched name. Not the first time this has happened and won't be the last. I remember One Minute Silence taking a pop at Maiden in the single reviews in either Kerrang or Metal Hammer.
Yeah that was pretty cool, it started out as a short jam and kept getting gradually longer and longer. Reminded me a bit of the improvisation in the middle of sanctuary back in the day, when he kept the band on their toes with the "so gimme Sanctuary" cue coming out of the blue.
The "gentlemen please" is obviously a joke, Lars makes a comment about "bending [Steve] over" and Steve reacts in a joking manner, as a straight man not interested in being bent over, Lars isn't being serious and neither is Steve, nor is the author to the faux drama.
I read that back in the day, and my memory of it was Steve and Lars were quite matey in it.
EDIT: Specifically remember Lars saying that he thought SIT was great even though the press were critical at the time, and Steve saying Load was great.
I'm also suspicious of why British Lion are not supporting the Darkness in Jan/Feb when Maiden are unlikely to be touring in those months and Steve usually squeezes BL in when he can. Most likely wishful thinking on my behalf.
I've been to ever tour since 1993 except the Virtual XI, and on every tour there has been at least 1 song that I got to hear for the first time. Granted a lot of them were new album tours, but a lot were not.
