Jesus Christ, get the fuck over yourself. There is no need to be such a constant downer here. You act as though every single thing Maiden does is terrible and I’m sick of it. Criticism is one thing, but you’ve just progressed to blind cynicism. Maiden is comprised of multimillionaires who don’t...
Wow. Once is a top 5 album for me and my favorite from Nightwish’s discography — their only perfect album.
(With that said I don’t need this deluxe re-release because I’m satisfied with just the original CD I have, but cool beans all the same.)
One of those Beatles songs it’s hard to dislike. Paul’s singing approach is definitely quaint for lack of a better world. Very fun. That said, if I had to pick, this is probably my least favorite from Sgt Pepper, but that speaks more to the quality of the whole album than the weakness of this song.
I would place H up there in my favorites simply for his soulfulness. I think his solos feel the most passionate of any of the three amigos (in the ‘80s Dave would be up there too but his playing was never the same after H left in 1990). All the guitarists you mentioned are great in their own...
Something is truly remarkable. I think George was truly on the same tier as John and Paul, it just took time for him to emerge as the powerful songwriter he was. But just look at all the songs he wrote for The Beatles:
Don’t Bother Me
I Need You
You Like Me Too Much
Think for Yourself
I think the next Maiden album will be, for all intents and purposes, just like all the previous Maiden albums. Would be interesting to get something more, but I love Iron Maiden in general and there’s almost no doubt that I’ll love whatever they release next, to different extents of course.
What’s back on topic? “I think they will release a three hour concept album about Jonah being abducted by aliens and forced to worship the elder gods in a ritual that comes every few years and you could be next.” “I hope you’re wrong!!!”
