Just finished "Origin" by Dan Brown. It was incredibly lame. tl;dr: It's really, really annoying if you figured out the plot twist on page 230 of 687, and spend the rest of the book watching clueless characters running around like hamsters in a maze.

Some rare gems, for sure. Not too hidden, though. I can't rate individual songs but I can say most of them were fast songs with heavy riffs, except for those that were slow.

Solid review @Ariana. Will you give ratings for each song they played? That's the only way could've got that overall rating! So it was a cabaret set then? No rare hidden gems?

Bruce Dickinson - The Breeding House A true hidden gem! That says how strong this song is. Should have been in the album. Big missed opportunity.

Bruce Dickinson - Change Of Heart Beautiful song! Amazing ballad! Every greatest hits/best of compilation for Bruce should include this song. Superb chorus. This birthday already is turning to a hidden gem... :D

    The Pilgrim

While I wouldn't go quite that far as to say it's a hidden gem, I definitely agree about The Pilgrim being a very solid song. I like the general atmosphere and the dynamics of it. The lyrics are pretty good and overall, it's very neat and kinda typical "post-reunion rocker." While it does not...

The Thin Red Line is indeed ace. I mentioned before that I would love to hear Maiden cover it as b-side. Great atmosphere!

    The Pilgrim

One of the best intros from Maiden opens this hidden gem! Great riff, verses and pre-chorus. The actual chorus is bloody good. Awesome harmonies/melodies through the whole song - Egyptian feel to them (in the solo too). Fantastic solo from Janick. Great vocals from Bruce. Love the cymbals hits...

    Saxon

It's not that bad album, but not that good either. The title track is good (great riff), Bloodletter is a awesome speed rocker, but the real (hidden?) gem is The Thin Red Line - one of the best songs of Saxon IMO... epic stuff! And that's all, really. Well, Circle Of Light is not bad and...

    Childhood's End

...Amazing melancholic intro and when the drums starts, it's sounds epic. Great verses and the chorus is unique and fantastic. Good riff. Superb twin-lead guitar harmonies and good solo. I love that song. I wish Maiden will play it live some day. The song is with a perfect length. A hidden gem...

    LEGACY OF THE BEAST 2019

I find an artistic cockup (and not necessarily by Rod) a lot more convincing than the possibility of a hidden message that they intended to play Alexander (but once again, didn't). Guys, I just don't think Maiden are all that enamoured with Alexander, and they have a wealth of longer tracks -...

    1. Stare At The Sun Average Score: 9.38/10 Silicon Messiah 10/10 Unless you're Jer, it shouldn't come as any surprise whatsoever that "Stare At The Sun" is the winner in the countdown, bar none. It has never lost a single Blaze Survivor, and is there any reason it should take a loss now? I...

So I had a tour in the museum today. It was for families with children and it was about elephants in Oriental art. Which made a lot of sense two years ago when it was devised, because back then, there was a special exhibition with Indian elephant paintings. But this exhibition has been over for...

Opiate (1992) 1. Sweat - Fading in like a scene from a warehouse and then breaking into a flutter of riffage, what a great way to open an EP. I really dig the verse, Maynard sounds really good. The pre-chorus / chorus section is also awesome. "Seems like I've been here before!" Huh, wonder...

    ABBAvivor Round 4: Self-Titled

...a lovely little song. The acoustic guitar and Agnetha's vocals are so good together. The vocal harmony on that chorus is great. Is this a hidden gem? I didn't remember how it went before it came on and I'm loving it a lot. 10/10 11. So Long - What a bop. The verse is strong, the pre-chorus...
