One does have to wonder... every album since VXI has been longer than the last, so where will Maiden go after their double album? Triple would make sense...

Double album which is a bit longer probably. If they go there. But I wouldn't be surprised if we get a album around TFF length. How many 18 minute epics can Bruce conjure up? EOTC was probably a once in a lifetime song. Or..?

Since 'Arry's finally writing 10+ minute epics again, I wouldn't be too surprised if he came up with the notion that Bruce's epic needed to be topped, lol.

Please no. TBOS is the Maiden album I feel least connected to (or somethin) and I put it down to it being a double album. Like the songs, dont like the length. Can never be fucked lisyenlistening the whole way through

Next step - making concept album about one of their previous songs. I present you:

Out of the Silent Planet (2020)

5. Killing Fields
6. Crushed by Equilibrium
7. Bitter Taste of Hate
8. The Punishment is Death
9. Demons of Creation
10. It's All Too Late

Oh yes!

3. Body Water

3. Sixes All The Way (Six Six Six) (7:06)

1. Maiden consistently put more effort into writing and recording new quality material than most legacy metal bands AND into promoting that material on their concert tours (see the lack of playing popular hits like "Run to the Hills" on TBOS tour).
2. In the last 10 years, Steve Harris' British Lion has released one studio album and toured maybe 5 times (with each leg lasting less than a month). Iron Maiden has released two albums, three live albums, and had 5 world tours (with almost 400 shows).
3. Dickinson hasn't released a solo album since 2005 and 3 out of 4 of his main "side projects", re: hobbies, directly relate to Maiden (i.e. flying = Ed Force One and aerial performances during Maiden tours, writing = biography that heavily discusses Maiden, "brewing" = Iron Maiden product).
4. What Nicko side project? His covers band that plays once a year at his rib shack in Florida?
5. What Adrian side project? His Instagram feed curated entirely by his wife?

Once again, RLonger, your statements have no factual basis.

I completely agree with you position, but to be precise, BL has toured 6 times since 2013 and since their album was released, Maiden has released one; and the second BL one is ready.

To be honest I didn’t actually look up the BL tours, just ballparked it from memory. But I did say “last ten years” which means Maiden had TFF and TBOS.

The director of Blade Runner 2049 and The Arrival is doing a new film version of Dune, Iron Maiden could do the soundtrack.
