I'm living in BC, more specifically Vancouver Island. I am also one of those Canadians who drinks craft beers instead of mainstream brands. The quality is so much better, tho I must admit I haven't been buying as much beer lately. To me it's more about quality than quantity.

The major industry in my part of Canada has traditionally been logging. It's been in decline for a long time already. Locally I've noticed the ones feeling the pinch the most are auto dealers. New car sales are way down. Real estate and construction were booming and now seem to have slowed down...

Re: 'fortunes Of War' I disagree. This song is more about a soldiers post traumatic depression, than about the actual war itself. I mean ya, it has to do with war, as that is the cause, but in this song the war is over and done with. I think it fits the album nicely. Personally I like this...
