Judas Priest - Firepower and Myles Kennedy - Year Of The Tiger are my favorites so far this year.
I thought Saxon's latest, Thunderbolt, was pretty good too.
I wouldn't mind seeing a set focusing on the bands more recent albums.

I love it all, but "The Number Of The Beast", "Piece Of Mind", Powerslave", "Live After Death" and "Somewhere I Time" are probably the albums I listen to the most.
It's a shame that site has been left stagnant as it's full of great info. Perhaps Maverick should hand the site over to someone else to update. Didn't he take it over from someone previously?
... and that's precisely why I like the idea of a cover album, along with the possibility of some new or unreleased cover tunes.
It's not meant to replace a new album, just a nice volume to collect ALL the cover tunes in the one place.
I have "Best of the B'Sides", it's not quite the same thing.
I was thinking the other day about a bunch of cool covers the band has recorded over the years.
Would you buy a compilation album of covers? I think it would be a cool set.

That's cool, the weakest album for one fan may be the strongest for another. That's the great thing about a group like Iron Maiden. :)
