It's interesting that it's Janick who has consistently brought the gallop in post reunion Maiden. As if the others are tired of it, but Janick wasn't in Maiden when the gallop was most prominent. But was a Maiden fan, and wants to recapture what he liked when he was just a fan and not in the band.
Anyone else see how the post-reunion albums mirror the classics?
Number of the Beast = Brave New World Both are introductions of Bruce, both relatively straightforward.
Piece of Mind = Dance of Death A slight evolution. Highest highs, but also some lows.
Powerslave = A Matter of Life and...
Bruce's vocals are higher in the mix on Spotify compared to the Youtube premiere. The music video was perhaps the best they've done. The song itself has an incredible intro, will have to give it a fair few listens before I comment on the rest. It's not that I don't like it, it's just not very...
Was at the Vancouver show on Tuesday. Got in line outside at 4. Doors opened at 6, and Maden took the stage around 8:50.
Have seen them on four different tours now, and by far this was the best!!! I was second from the barrier. And got completely crushed. Never been pushed so hard at a concert...
I'm so happy we have this, and that it's free. However, this might be my least favourite of any official live footage.
Hardly any wide shots. Most of this video, is a shot of one band member before switching to a shot of the next band member and so on. Which gives very little indication of...
Not me. Would take anything off of the Brave New World album over Powerslave. But I know I am in the minority on that one. And I am happy those who love Powerslave got to/get to hear it. And hey, I heard Brave New World in 2010, so I really can't complain.
Seeing Powerslave live also...
Wine lady was a babe.
As for the anxiety. It sucks, but I know it's on me. I wasn't mad at the people around me. It was all in good fun, and would have been great for a typical person. But I was stressed, and that's just life.
You summed up my seats perfectly. Could feel the heat from the...
Okay. My thoughts from The April 10th Vancouver show. I know it's late coming, but that's life.
First of all, I struggle with anxiety. I'm very introverted, and fairly shy. I don't scream at concerts, and I'm not head banging during a show. So it was a little rough to have seats next to a man...
