To be honest could have had a choice of about 8 albums for 4 and 5 there, I'm not even a huge fan of DOTF LOL but it's good tracks are big hitters better than what's on a lot of other albums.

I think it's a great Priest album, my favorite actually, but I've never liked Metal Meltdown too much.
 
Is the guitar solo at the start of Metal Meltdown on the original non-remastered version of Painkiller?

It's not on the non-remastered version of Metal Works, but is on the remastered version.
 
Interesting. I may have only ever heard the remastered version. Every time I've given a full listen through to Painkiller the solo has always been there.

As far as I know the only versions without the solo are @ Metal Works and the live version of Live Meltdown
