I love Fear of the Dark. The way I see it, only The Fugitive and Judas Be My Guide could be even considered subpar.
My least favorite (at the risk of being labeled unoriginal) is No Prayer. I really like Mother Russia and the title track, but the rest comes off as not all that well thought out, and ultimately repetitive. It's by no means a bad album, but by Maiden standards, it's pretty disappointing.
Hey Albatross, what was it you didn't like about most of the songs of TNOTB? I, personally, can think of few metal albums (or albums of any sort) with such consistent creativity. Plus, The Prisoner is the *greatest headbanging riff ever.*
