I am... bored. Looking for jobs and properties is insanely boring, especially when you are so unqualified as myself :S

So... out of a mix of boredom and a general attempt to see how capable I would be at doing various job's, I decided to do typing speed tests. It's been a while since I did any and I'm on a dinky little laptop atm compared to my normal keyboard so it's a bit different, wanted to compare them.

My results:
http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ -- WPM 108 Keystrokes 569 correct words 102 wrong words 4
http://www.typingtest.com running 1minute on the "Test instructions" -- WPM 111 Keystrokes 558 correct words 107 wrong words 4 ("You save 6.5 hours if typing 10 hours a week").

So... partially for a pick me up (as sad as a statistic it is I still like being pretty damn fast at it!) and mostly out of extensive boredom.... let's see other peoples results :bigsmile:

EDIT: Test from MFC - http://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english result = 112wpm/559keystroke/106correct/0 wrong, 98.64%

First test : WPM 81, keystrokes 454, correct words 82, wrong words 6
Second test :  1 minute on the Test Instructions, WPM 92, keystrokes 461, correct words 81, wrong words 11 (You save up to 5.5 if typing 10 hours a week)

I would rock this if it was Turkish :bigsmile:
 
They really are ridiculously addictive..

managed 119wpm on the 2nd one just now, but with 10 mistakes... so an overall better end score but less accuracy (and its always on stupidly easy words too :P) .. would rather type with a normal keyboard though.

I should probably try learn dvorak or something one day >.>
 
That's really fast, I'll give it a shot when i have more time, but I'll be lucky to get over 56wpm... It's been years, so we'll see. lol. That and my accuracy.
 
Those are the best 2 tests I could find, most the others I looked at seemed to start by clicking a start button, so you wasted time regaining mouse focus. Although one of them did start that a "word" for words per minute is counted as 5 letters, but when it counts mistakes it counts actual words. What slows me down most is going back to correct things with backspace, I do it instinctively but tend to do it slowly for some reason.

Average it says on the 2nd one is about 36wpm.
 
What makes me slow is my complete inability to touch type. I'll be lucky to get 25wpm.
