Seriously, that's exactly what I mean. Is it really on many people's top three list, or has it just slipped by while voters concentrated on eliminating/saving other songs?

The latter. I honestly think it didn't have much competition because most of it -at least in the later phase- was between other songs. Of course there's some wishful thinking in my reasoning.
