I once started reading The Brothers Karamzov. After maybe 100 pages I got the impression that my growing desire to go play with the traffic would only increase if I continued reading.
This is the extent of my experience of Russian literature. Some day I may change this.

Not that anyone knows the name of the place they're visiting anyway. Or even their own name, given the amount of booze involved.

Popularly known among students here as The Brothers Karaguzov, with Karaguzov translating to Assfuckers :D Didn't read that one either.

Yeah, it's one of the good ones.

Best Serbian book I read for school is The Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andric.

Thanks for the recommendations! Also, yes Maiden did do a song based on Lord of the Flies called (you guessed it) Lord of the Flies. It's on The X Factor.
Have a listen, I'm sure you'll recognize the lyrics!

This forum has (at least in the past, and as far as I can tell still) been pretty vocal in it's support of the Blaze era. So statements like "you're not missing out on much" as a response to the Blaze era won't meet with applause here.

Well that and seeing several posts in a row of Gk bashing maiden.

I think he does, yes. He even hates Cried, what with Cried being a Adrian fanboy...

Uh, I don't like it. I think Blaze was pants with a capital P.

It's worth checking out. I actually think time has been kind to those albums.

To keep on topic: I'm on book 3 in the dark tower series.

Book 3 is great. But so are Book 2 and Book 4. Well, the rest too...

If you mean "Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland?", then yes, that Glasgow. Lived there on-and-off for many years.
