Hey guys, I'm a relatively new Maiden fan, discovering them a year ago, I now realize that I have wasted 16 years of my life, honestly, after discovering Maiden, my life feels so much more complete :D

I discovered these legends through my younger brother, he used to be obsessed with Guitar Hero, and one day, I spotted him playing an amazing song, "Run to the Hills", I really wanted to start listening to music, as I didn't really much, so I got an Ipod and baught a bunch of different albums, ranging from artists such as Kings of Leon (WTF was I thinking...) to Metallica. After listening to all of them, there was one ablum that blew me away, "The Number of the Beast", not a fucking bad song on it, I would listen to it night and day, day and night :p

I was actually very lucky to have discovered them at this time, because they were on their most recent tour, "The Final Frontier World Tour" and all of their albums down at my local music store were all $10, so over the course of two months, I collected them all, and to this very day, I know that Maiden will never be void of my life, I listen to them every day, no joke.

Anyway, it's really awesome to talk to some people that share my love of Maiden, it's makes me sad that not one of my friends listens to Maiden, i've tryed so hard to get them into it, it's actually deppressing and with today's horrible, vile, transparent music, what else compares?

Welcome...you're among like minded types now... although a lot of us don't seem to agree on much outside of the fact that Iron Maiden rules
  6. Dityn DJ James On top as long as the music's loud.

It's actually not that great of a story of how I got into them. Well no, I owe a lot to Iron Maiden. They got me into metal.

So it was a cold, stormy April night. I was getting sick of the music I was currently listening to so I said, time to discover new music. I Googled 'Top Five Songs of All Time'. And I stumbled upon some guys list that was composed of Dream Theater and Metallica. But the number 1 song was Hallowed. I know I had heard the name 'Iron Maiden' before, so I decided to check it out.

And boy was I blown away.

It was greater then anything I had ever heard before, I swear I listened to it around 15 times that one night. But after awhile I thought, what else does Maiden have to offer? From there I heard all the big hits then I went through the discography once or twice. Crazy fun times.

Nice topic. I had a DoD CD before I started to listen to RockNRoll related stuff, but at secondary school I changed class because of some stuff I'm not going into, and in the class I went in were few major metalheads. One of them was hardcore Maidenist and just as a coincidence I once got a copy of Death On The Road from the other one. Fell in love etc etc.

    Can't be all coincidence...

...too many things, are evident. You tell me, you're an unbeliever, spiritualist, but me I'm neither...

My name is William, I'm a huge fan of Maiden only been a fan for about 3 years seen them in concert twice own about 7 of their studio albums and listen to them religously. I have many of their shirts and still working on my collection I listen to other music as well but none of those bands like Maiden. I can name around 40 Maiden songs I like of the top of my head.

Hello fellow Maiden fans! My name's John and I 'Up The Irons!' from the Bay Area, California in the U.S.. Good to meet ya.

My first Maiden album was Live After Death on cassette. Funny story, actually. I was about 10 or 11 at the time ('92), and I was at the local music shop looking around for something to spend my birthday money on. I was already a fan of Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer, and had owned a few of their albums on tape. And I was set on buying another one from one of these bands something Metal for sure). So as I was brazing thru their Metal shelves, my eye caught the amazing front cover art of Live After Death. I had never heard of Maiden, yet, nor any of their songs, but I just loved the artwork of Eddie being struck by lightning on his forehead while rising from his grave. So I bought it! Went home, popped it into my walkman, and fell in love with their music. Almost every song blew me away. And I've been a Maiden for for live ever since that day. AND I bought my first Maiden album only because I liked the cover art.
