LEGENDARY YES GUITARIST STEVE HOWE’s NEW BAND – REMEDY
RELEASE THEIR FIRST ALBUM 'ELEMENTS' ON INSIDEOUT MUSIC AMERICA ON OCTOBER 7, 2003

Steve Howe is one of the finest guitarists in the history of popular music. His diversity has suited him well in his time with the legendary progressive rock pioneers Yes and with Asia and GTR in addition to several solo albums.

Howe's latest album 'Elements' is a group project under the moniker Steve Howe's Remedy. 'Elements' will be released by InsideOut Music America on October 7, 2003. This album is the follow-up to last year's 'Skyline,' Howe's first album for InsideOut Music America.

The 16 songs on 'Elements,' written and produced by Howe, include: "Across the Cobblestone," "Bee Sting," "Westwinds," "Where I Belong," "Whiskey Hill," "The Chariot of Gold," "Tremolando," "Pacific Haze," "Load Off My Mind," "Hecla Lava," "Smoke Silver," "Inside Out Muse," "Rising Sun," "Sand Devil," "The Longing" and "A Drop in the Ocean." Three songs include vocals while the remaining 13 are instrumental.

'Elements' is an extraordinarily varied, fluid album incorporating Howe's affinity with rock, jazz, blues and country music. Only Howe has the skill to weave these styles together into a cohesive musical statement. On 'Elements,' Howe plays electric, acoustic, virtual and synth guitars, dobro, mandolin and dulcimer and also sings. He describes 'Elements' as "guitar-based progressive rock containing influences from blues and jazz."

Howe fans will note that the 'Elements' cosmic-landscape artwork was created by Roger Dean, the longtime Yes album cover designer.

Steve Howe's Remedy is also a family affair. His sons Virgil Howe and Dylan Howe are part of the collective. Virgil Howe is the keyboardist and also adds harmony vocals. Dylan Howe is the drummer. Joining them are Gilad Atzmon on alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, clarinet and flute and Derrick Taylor on bass guitar.

For almost 40 years, Howe's relentlessly restless creativity has resulted in an astonishing body of work. His collected group and solo canon is unrivaled in terms of quality, and Steve Howe's Remedy's 'Elements' is yet another milestone in a career with no evolutionary equal.
