Got into my car to go home from work and caught eye of my tripometer. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive about driving off.

Well, good it wasn't the speedometer.

Just wandering in late from an unexpected Monday night concert — Michael Schenker, his first trip to my part of the world in forever.
Had no idea he was anywhere near Canada until a buddy called last night and asked if I wanted to go.
Small club, maybe 150 people.
Given his reputation I was a bit apprehensive, but he absolutely .
No one but Dave Murray has that kind of tone and he nailed every note.
I was literally three feet away for the entire show. Never seen that kind of guitar talent that close up.
Taker, SMX and a few others would have appreciated the set — heavy on the UFO and early MSG with a couple Scorpions tunes tossed in for good measure.
All in all, a most pleasant surprise and my best Monday night in a long while.

Sounds a bit more rewarding than my Monday night.

Schenker would have been a great show... glad to hear he was on top of his game... bummer there are no dates around here...
