My current ranking of the albums, best to worst:

  1. A Matter of Life and Death
  2. The X Factor
  3. The Final Frontier
  4. Brave New World
  5. Somewhere in Time
  6. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
  7. Dance of Death
  8. Fear of the Dark
  9. Piece of Mind
  10. Powerslave
  11. The Number of the Beast
  12. Killers
  13. No Prayer for the Dying
  14. Iron Maiden
  15. Virtual XI
I'm obviously not a 'play classics' fan. I'd guess ranking Fear of the Dark that high is the greatest crime. :applause:

This is a very cruel choice!

My August 2015 ranking:

Killers
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
The Number of the Beast
Somewhere in Time
Piece of Mind
Fear of the Dark
Powerslave
No Prayer For The Dying
Iron Maiden
The Final Frontier
Dance of Death
Brave New World
The X Factor
Virtual XI
A Matter of Life and Death

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
A Matter of Life and Death
Somewhere in Time
Piece of Mind
Powerslave
Brave New World
The Number of the Beast
Dance of Death
The X Factor
Killers
The Final Frontier
Fear of the Dark
No Prayer For The Dying
Iron Maiden
Virtual XI

Something like that... I guess, it is VERY HARD to make a list like this. It actually feels a bit silly in my opinion, because music is fluid and not numbers. I would say the top 5 is at least pretty much at the same level, can't really pick a favourite. And I have a feeling, a really string feeling, that The Book Of Souls will end up very close to the top after it settles as well!
That's how I feel now, and I doubt it will change.

Seeing Somewhere in Time being regarded that high around here makes me happy. What an great Album.

Which makes me wonder why the Band never gives it any recognition outside of 2 Songs (1 of them even being the "worst) on the record)

I choose The X Factor, but remember that Iron Maiden (at least in my opinion) don't have bad albums, they may have mediocre albums, boring albums, etc. They'll never have a bad album.

Voting is now closed. I will start the 2015 edition momentarily...

Seventh Son wins the TFF-era poll. I believe TBOS can make a strong challenge.
