I must say.. 1985 and 1993 sucked. Live After Death was pretty far above everything else. And as for 1993, Undertow is not my favorite album ever, but everything else sucked so bad that the only album that even contested it was Nirvana - In Utero.

1992 is definitely the strongest year in here. Dirt, Core, Images and Words, and Countdown to Extinction were all tough choices. Dirt got the nod though because that album got me into grunge.

Will do 2000-2018 soon.

I agree that 'Rust in Peace' is the best album of 1990, but the only reason that 'Seasons in the Abyss' is more cohesive is that all Slayer songs are the same.

'Nightfall in Middle Earth' is one of the defining albums of Power Metal. 'Chemical Wedding' is good, but not that good.
