Band Names as Icons --- name all 48

With all those bands in that line up, Metallica must be there. And the only thing I can pin them on is 8 down, three across...

Metal tongue
Metal licker
Metallica

Lame, I know, but it's the best I can think off.
 
I found the solution online. We got most right, two were different (although ambiguous), and I haven't even heard of most others.

I just have a gripe with King Crimson since I know that that's the symbol for a Queen and not a King in chess :p
 
Yea, but the color of the crown gave me an edge...  :)

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's Floyd there in the 4th row, because there are no "heads", only one "head", and it's pink.

I just recently found that there's a cheat sheet floating around on the net, but for those that still want to play along, I won't tempt anyone by posting the link here yet (although of course nothing's stopping you from looking for it on your own. hehe.)

What I didn instead is cross out the guesses above that are wrong :)

BTW, the last row only has three items. that last big thing is just the logo of those who made this thing. Also, I doubt that anyone is going to get the last item... it seems to be a local/spanish thing :p

The "crack" that I saw was in picture 9 down, 1 along.

To give you a hint, consider that there's not just a crack on the image.
 
Another thing that came into my mind is Nirvana, and the only place where I can put them is the first picture in the 8th row.
