This is an alphabetical index of all band and artist threads we have in this forum. Its purpose is for you to find the relevant thread for your favourite band quickly.

As a rule of thumb, band threads are used to share news and general discussion on the band in question. A few have been intended by the thread opener to discuss more than one band - such as the Helloween and Gamma Ray topic. However, in this post, both bands are listed separately, although the link goes to the same thread.

A few band-specific threads have been opened with a more narrow focus, such as the various discography discussion threads. As of now, they will not be included here, although this may change in the future.

This is an ongoing project, and all band threads will be added to this post gradually. If one is missed, you are welcome to point this out here. Any new threads opened will be indexed here as well. Any further suggestions, corrections, etc. can be posted in this thread.

Another note: Further back in the forum, there are many duplicate threads. For instance, there is a 12-page, 238 post Judas Priest thread, last post in March 2014, along with the currently active one. Only the recently active ones will be listed here. Again, suggestions welcome.

BOOKMARK NOTE: This thread contains all band threads up to page 12 of the forum index. The rest will be added as time progresses.

    Good initiative and work, Perun!

There are few bands having more than one thread, with imo "valuable" contributions from various members. E.g.

    Rush
    Rush
    Rush Discography Discussion
Rush Week on Maidenfans (Sep 7-13, 2009)

    Pink Floyd
    Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd Week on Maidenfans (July 20-26, 2009)

    Black Sabbath
    Black Sabbath
BLACK SABBATH Week On Maidenfans! (8/18 - 8/25)
The Tony Martin-era of Black Sabbath

    Helloween
    Helloween & Gamma Ray topic
Helloween Week on Maidenfans (June 15-21, 2009)

To be honest, there are more Week on Maidenfans topics, e.g. for Judas Priest, Opeth, Dio etc. I am not sure if you'd like to keep all these topics. My favs are the Rush, Floyd, Priest, Iced Earth, Helloween and Dio Maidenfans topics. I hope the Tony Martin-era topic can be kept, but merging is no big deal as well.

Just to avoid any misunderstanding: We're not deleting, merging or changing any threads. This list is just intended as a reference. I agree there are a lot of valuable band discussions in all those threads you mentioned, and I don't know what the best way to index them is.

We had at least a couple dozen of those back when we did them regularly. I remember Savatage and Alice Cooper in particular.

I would make a separate category for the band week threads and maybe discography discussion threads. There's already quite a few and bound to be more.
