album review

The answer is: SPAM.

I can't remember if I've posted in this thread earlier, but I'll just state here that I disagree with gkonst, it is not the best album since 1988 easy. I think it is, but not easily. There is, after all, Brave New World in there which is great, and the Blaze years aren't bad either.

Yeah, the answer is still spam.

Yes, spam. Perun refered to thousand suns, not just for this thread, but for his general attitude

I am posting here now, because I have had ample time to listen to this album as well as the others (except NP and FOTD). Lots of people claim it's their best since 7th Son. I'm going with Natalie on this one in saying I think Brave New World was great, cuz it was their "reunion." So that was their best work since 7th Son with that lineup, even though Janick wasn't with them in '88. But overall, I would probably say that is is their best selling album since 7th Son, and someone probably should check, cuz I don't know if BNW sold better than AMOLAD. I know AMOLAD charted at #9 on the US Billboard, and that was their best charted album yet, but didn't 7th Son chart #1? Or was that England's Billboard?

Anyhow, AMOLAD is a terrific album. These Colours Don't Run, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, The Longest Day, Out Of the Shadows, Benjamin Breeg, FTGGOG...every song is a classic! Sure, Lord Of Light has "weird" solos in it, I had to look at that "solography" to see that it was H!  Davey's solo could have been batter in that song...

They're all great. Wish I could have seen the tour last winter, or Download in June. But I have seen plenty of You Tube videos to satisfy me! Rating 10/10
