I use MySpace a lot.  It's excellent as a way for unknown bands and musicians to get their music heard.  Probably the best way on the internet there is.  Other than that I agree it's pretty useless. Btw, the only reason I use MySpace is for my band, my numerous side projects and my record...

I thought it was Black One, just wasn't sure...! Yeah Steven O'Malley has done loads of extreme projects and they're all pretty amazing.  The Immortal cover is weird, it's a droning guitar playing the riff, a bass droning in the background and someone screaming manically in the background... ...

Awesome video!! Erm, albums... Either Black 1 or White 1.  White 2 is also excellent but the tracks are a bit stranger and, in a way, more ambient than the usual Sunn O))) tracks (BassAliens especially) so probably best to start with Black 1 or White 1 then go from there.

Sunn O))).  Certainly not to everyone's tastes, basically a guitar and a bass played through full blast Sunn valve amps making feedback through loads of effects pedals.  Awesome!

The Flash Of The Blade demo is the studio version from Powerslave with more tape hiss. Caught Somewhere In Time (Extended Version) is basically the original studio version which someone has remixed to make it 15 minutes long (the intro lasts 3 minutes, the solos repeat...) Not worth the hassle...

I know what you mean about the word 'genius' used too much... I probably wouldn't quite go that far but the ideas he uses are definitely new and original... I'd probably go and see him live. It'd be an interesting and unforgettable experience to say the least.
