I have never understood the anger towards teleprompters or cheat sheets on stage. I have seen Blaze with his folder on stage and it has never annoyed me. Maybe he had memory issues for some songs? He doesn’t have a poor work ethic, so you can’t put it down to laziness.
I remember the story of...
I spent hours watching this. I would sit there transcribing melodies and solos from the video. I could probably tell you what happens frame by frame. That’s even more impressive when you think of the editing.
It’s still my favourite live album and probably my desert island Maiden disc.
There was that video during the pandemic where Bruce was playing on the IM pinball machine and he mentions Rime. He said something like ‘you wish we were playing that’. I never thought that would do it again but that video got me thinking it would be a possibility one day.
However I think it is...
I’m going to recycle my baseless rumour that they rehearsed No Prayer for the 2014 Maiden England tour…

The week before the release of the album I put all of Bruce’s solo albums in my car. Here are some thoughts for you to argue over.
I don’t like Starchilden or Welcome to the Pit. I used to but not anymore.
As a result, Accident of Birth has slipped down my ranking. For years it has been my...
I agree with @Mosh. Bruce going heavy on the solo work and promotion makes me think that he is gearing up for Maiden winding down.
I believe they will announce a tour for next year that takes them through to 2026. A greatest hits style tour with a few Dee cuts that celebrates their 50th...
If Maiden had toured Senjutsu during these years instead of Legacy and TFP tour, what do you think the setlist would have looked like?
Here’s mine. It is put together based on comments from the band over the last few years. It’s not adventurous, but I think it is realistic.
Senjutsu
Stratego...
I agree with you and @Vaenyr on this. I don’t really get the song either. It’s ok but nothing special. I’m glad they didn’t do it in 2005. That set list flowed really well and it would have been a momentum killer.
I’m just grateful to get both a Blaze and Bruce album released within a week of each other. Also, both are pretty good.
There is a lot of nitpicking going on and that is fine. I still think much of the criticism of fans is behind the fact that the album was hyped so much and has failed to live...
Also I can’t see them touring TFP next year. It’s already weird enough that they have dedicated 1 leg of a previous tour and 2 of this tour to an album recorded 5 years ago. I have no problem with Senjutsu and I loved seeing LOTB22 and the gig last year, but it’s time to move on.
