I guess I'm not the only one who thinks that today's ticket prices, for whatever (big) band, are simply insane.
I saw Maiden for the first time back in 1986 for 29 marks (German currency). That equals 15 euros now.
Before you smash me to bits:
Yes, I know that was 30 years ago. And yes, I know...
Just a little example (3 shows in a row from 2008, all with wrong/missing infos):
2008-03-12 - José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, San Juan, Puerto Rico
The town is not even mentioned
2008-03-14 - Izod Center, East Rutherford, NJ, USA
The town is not even mentioned

It is simply a fact that the band's website lists a lot of shows that were definitely cancelled or took place on another day. As well as lots of errors concerning correct venues, towns, even countries. :p
To stop any further discussion about whether the dates on the band's website are correct or not:
The tourlists there (ALL of them) are simply a joke and anybody (like me) who ever spent a lot of time researching dates knows this.
When it comes to researching Maiden tour dates, the ones in Germany in the spring of 1981 are the holy grail because so much is unknown about them.
The only one I know that is confirmed both by ticket scan and fan review is May 1st (Markthalle, Hamburg).
I would very much appreciate it if any...
An update of the tour dates:
Location:
May 26-28 - The "Rock Im Revier" festival was moved to another location: Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany
Date:
May 29 - The day that Maiden will play at "Rockavaria" festival in Munich, Germany
I don't want to rule anything. I just think that this topic should be about taping infos, that's all.
Of course everybody can post whatever they want. It just would be nice to have only topic related replies.
Hey guys.
This thread is about who will be taping on the next tour.
It's NOT about what is annoying at shows or how crappy some (video) recordings are.
I can absolutely agree with you on these points, but it's simply not about that.
It's all about information, not discussion..........
Please let us know what show(s) of The Book Of Souls tour you are planning to record and what format it will be (audio / video).
But only if you are willing to share or trade.
Thank you in advance.
I think these two members said it all:
Lego:
They should really "Go Jumbo" and do a double set with no opener...
SixesAlltheway:
Pretty much everything about indoor shows is better than outdoors:
- cheaper because it's just Maiden, no crazy full festival prices
- no shitty weather that makes...
"Adrian Smith knows about the acoustics of a venue by softly farting in northern direction. The sound of this deduction method cannot be heard by anyone else, man or beast."
That's a good one.... !!
I might risk being banned for using "inappropriate" language. I am well aware of that, but I still HAVE to say this:
That motherfucker "IronDuke" was probably 15 years old when he (or she) wrote this and doesn't know what the fuck he (or she) is talking about.
Yes, I get that it was meant as a...
Definitely Still Life.
Wasn't into Maiden in 1983, but would have loved to hear it at the 1988-08-27 show that I saw (Schweinfurt, Germany).
Unfortunately they only played it later during this tour in November and December.
One of my alltime Maiden favourite songs !!!
Hello everybody.
A lot of tapers don't share their recordings anymore, for reasons that I can fully understand.
Number one is of course that a taper's precious recording is turned into lossy crap (MP3) and spread around like that all over the place.
So serious collectors like me are always...
