Cover Bass video

I checked out Heaven Can Wait, knowing that to be a very fun line...

Ronald, you started out on upright bass, didn't you? You never fret a note with your ring finger. In fact, it looks to me like you jump through some crazy hoops just to avoid it, shifting your hands more than necessary. This is not a criticism, just an observation. Your technique obviously works great for you, and it makes complete sense for someone who started on upright.
 
Hello Sinister , I understood what you mean . I am self-taught bass player and as a young I guess started wrong . Although I think that finger use in other sections where I know that the same finger somehow easier to use . All those years we did not have a problem jumping on the neck so I was used to . Sometimes I use two fingers to squeeze one tone on a string just because it is so easy and natural to grab the neck . Look around and other video recordings ; ) Anyway , thanks for the remark , I know that is constructive . tnx man ; )
