A disgrace.

Dutch football "fans" should realize that we don't get that many opportunities anymore, abroad. Our football becomes worse and worse. Fucking around in Rome makes things worse. Definitely for the club (and this happens to be "my" club, so this extra annoying).

Feyenoord clashes continue

Feyenoord supporters continue to wage pitched battles against Italian police ahead of their team’s tie with Roma tonight.

It was reported last night that allegedly drunk Feyenoord fans had clashed with police, throwing bottles and other objects.

A total of 23 arrests were made, but the violence has continued today.

Mediaset reports that Dutch fans laid siege to historic monuments in the Eternal City, with the iconic Spanish Steps covered in bottles, and a recently-restored fountain vandalised.

There are photographs circulating in the Italian media of the famous Fontana della Barcaccia not only full of litter and broken bottles, but with a chunk of it smashed off.

The monument was built in 1629.

The Rotterdam-based club were ejected from the 2006-07 Uefa Cup after similar scenes in the French town of Nancy.

United lost, Chelsea drew, Arsenal won. Looking for a City mess up tonight and Southampton & Liverpool holding out for a draw tomorrow.

Man City humiliated yesterday, Arsenal are being killed on the counterattack by Monaco ... the English teams are not exactly shining in this Champions League season.

PS: But a lovely goal by Oxlade-Chamberlain in injury time gives them at least a glimmer of hope.

PPS: A hope which is extinguished in the 94th minute from another counterattack.

In all seriousness, a couple of thousands of angry Romans are expected to arrive. Let's see if their plans for revenge can be contained, somewhat.

Yes, that was awesome. Lovren taking the last penalty was the stupidest move ever. I would've kept Balotelli just for that. Dumbass Rodgers, serves him right.

Incidentally (& this is a genuine question btw), other than for taking to football matches for racial abuse purposes, what other use does anyone have for blow-up bananas, or any other fruit for that matter?

For throwing at people at concerts, and also for walking around Newcastle city centre with on a Friday/Saturday night, to indicate how wacky and humorous you are.

Chelsea are now 5 points ahead of City with one game to spare. The championship is pretty much decided at this point. I don't see Chelsea gerrarding it.

Also, Arsenal are now only 4 points behind City. 2nd place might not be a dream after all.
