Best Bass Lines

I still like best Steve's playing on 'King Of Twilight' although it is but a cover song.

Murders in the Rue Morgue... In fact just about all of Killers contains most of Steve's best bass work.

I am by no means a bassist, nor do I truly understand playing or mixing it, but one song where the bass constantly stands out for me is Killers. Like, when I think Steve Harris bass Killers immediately comes to mind. His sound is very dominant and powerful on that song, where with almost every other song, he is very much part of the background. A driving force, always, but on Killers, it feels like Steve surges ahead, where as every other song he pushes from behind.

It's not a very technical analysis, I'm afraid, but it is what I feel to be true!

To Tame a Land is the ultimate Steve Harris highlight to me.

it's also one of his all time favorite tracks he's done if I'm not mistaken. Was disappointed not to hear it on the early days tour

I think the little solothing in "only the good die young" is my favourite, but "where eagles dare" is most fun to play =)

I always liked what Steve did underneath the slow part of the solo in Powerslave.I also like what he does under the acoustic part in BTATS
