Slayer

:shred: Man, check that Lombardo! And Araya sounded very convincing back in those days. Quite a good sounding video boot as well, if you ask me.

Fate silent warriors sleeping souls will rise
Once forgotten soldiers come to life
Fallen mercenary, dormancy is done
Not content with wars we never won

Memories cant ignore
Anguish of before
Satisfy the scorn
Rise ghosts of war

Target assassination, time of your life has expired
Hatred victimize, gaze in their eyes as they die
Violence inflicting of pain, savage morticians deny
Drive the salt in the wound, arouse the subconscious to lie

Memories cant ignore
Anguish of before
Satisfy the scorn
Rise ghosts of war

I deal in pain
All life I drain
I dominate
I seal your fate

I deal in pain
All life I drain
Memories cant ignore
Rise ghosts of war

Chemical Warfare/Ghosts of War is one of the best couples of songs ever. And Lombardo's drumming is fantastic on both tracks.

:dancinggeek: Lombardo filmed, from behind the kit, doing those awesome breaks on my favourite Slayer song.

One of the six Slayer songs I care about.

Others are: Angel of Death, Raining Blood, South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss and Black Magic.

And you've listened to all of their records ? One who likes Raining Blood could appreciate many of their songs.

On the possibility of a Hanneman song on the new album:

If it ain't awesome, you're not gonna hear it.

Gotta love this Blabbermouth comment (I saw it because it was the highest):

Translation: "If I don't make any money off it, you're not gonna hear it"

Lombardo shared this link on his FB with this comment:

Recorded on tape, no click track and before Protools existed.
The way i still prefer record.

:rocker:

That's got to be great exercise. That tempo change at 2:43 and then the startup after the little break just before 3:00 ... Insane.
